Greg Brunkalla | Legs | ADC Young Guns

I attended this awesome talk at the Apple store in SoHo earlier this week to hear Greg Brunkalla speak about his work in new media. He’s the recipient of  an ADC Young Guns award, and rightfully so: Brunkalla has produced commercials for Nike, music videos for Saul Williams, and Interpol, and was nominated for an Emmy for a series he has directed for New York Times Style Magazine. Mad-cool stuff. He recently founded a new media company called Legs, affiliated with Milk Studios, in NYC. Legs has produced work for Diet Coke, Temperley (zoetrope is a must-see) , and Diesel. Up top, a Saul Williams music video entitled, List of Demands. There’s also another great one to check out, called DNA; Brunkalla said it was filmed by speeding up the song 200% and filming Williams 45 frames per second, in slow-motion. The concept for the video above was inspired by people taking self-portraits.
