I’m Still Here

Best movie poster I’ve seen this year. I love everything about it: Joaquin, the typeface of choice, the irony. Kellerhouse, Inc. is the responsible party. Kellerhouse also designed the Finding Nemo logo for Disney’s Pixar, as well as the movie poster for The Informant, starring Matt Damon (reminds me a throwback to Saul Bass’ style). Good stuff. (Side note: I really am looking forward to seeing this film; I love Joaquin, and if you haven’t seen the trailer for I’m Still Here yet, you can watch it on Hulu here.)

*Addendum: My peers and I believe this typeface to be H&F Didot, customized. Lord & Taylor, a department store here in NYC, also uses this as a brand typeface.

  1. I couldn’t find that typeface anywhere. Do you know where it can be purchased?

  2. Hi Eric! I’m not sure. I emailed Mr. Kellerhouse and if he replies, I’ll forward you the information. :)

  3. Awesome, thanks!

    Its not Bodoni.
Thanks to What the Font, I think it’s Walbaum SB-Italic

    Walbaum

  4. Hi Lark, thanks for the comment! :) I looked at Walbaum, and it looks reallllly close, but I’m not sure if that actually IS it, because the characters “C” and “K” look different. What do you think?

    Christi-

Your right, the C&K are off. I looked a bit further and Michel looks closer but the descender on the Q doesn’t look quite right.

    Christi-
I think your right with Didot, and it’s been living in my font book all this time. Thanks for your help.
